FamilyLine Surrey Grows
We are here to Listen ..
FamilyLine Surrey has just recruited and trained five new volunteers to give help and support to families living and working in Surrey via its freephone confidential helpline 0808 8005678. FamilyLine now have over 30 fully trained volunteers who can help. Our lines are open from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. from Monday to Friday so please give us a call.
People talk to us about a huge variety of issues eg children’s behaviour, teenagers, school problems, separation/divorce, step-parenting issues, domestic abuse, alcohol, drugs and grandchildren and much much more.
Our volunteers undergo an intensive five day training course and are trained to listen reflectively, guide callers through their problems, look at options and hopefully, find a solution to their predicament.
The well-being of families and particularly children, is at the heart of our organisation. By “being there” for families we hope to prevent problems becoming so over-whelming that they reach crisis point.
